| Day 1 | RAIPUR – KAWARDHA | On arrival at Raipur Apt / Railway station meet and assist by our representative and then proceed to Kawardha – the former Princely State. On arrival transfer to the Palace. Afternoon familiarisation with Palace Kawardha and nearby cultural sites, including the captivating Bhoramdeo Temple & its complex. Return to the Palace at sunset and enjoy the cultural evening of Chattisgarhi dance and dinner with Royal family. Overnight stay at Kawardha. |
| Day 2 | KAWARDHA | This morning after breakfast, the Palace guide will accompany you on an introduction to the secrets of Kawardha’s little-known natural and tribal habitat. Experience the gentle and friendly Baiga Tribal People, the principal indigenous forest tribe. Enjoy picnic lunch with them. An evening return to Palace Kawardha precedes a royal family dinner and overnight. |
| Day 3 | KAWARDHA – RAIPUR – KANKER | Morning after breakfast drive to Kanker (250 kms). The countryside virgin and untouched tribal landscape is very fascinating feel like being in paradise. En-route lunch at Raipur. On arrival check in to Kanker Palace. Later explore the verdant surrounding of the palace. Evening watch the folk music organized by the Kanker palace. Dinner and overnight stay in the palace. |
| Day 4 | KANKER – KONDAGOAN – NARAYANPUR – KANKER | After an leisurely breakfast at the Palace, the Bastar tribal experience begins. Drive to south of Kanker with guide to climb the forested Keshkal Ghat which marks the border of Bastar. Visit the local market which is a great opportunity to meet the local people. At Kondagaon and Narayanpur discover some of Bastar’s finest handicrafts and the people who make them. Lunch will be a picnic in the deep green sal forests. An early evening dance by youthful members of Bastar’s unique ‘ghotul’ dormitory system completes an unforgettable day before return to Kanker and a late dinner. Overnight stay in the Palace. |
| Day 5 | KANKAR – JAGDALPUR | After breakfast, drive to Jagdalpur (120 K.ms), Bastar’s main town and former capital, three hours away. Check into the hotel. Afternoon visit historical Jagdalpur and the Anthropological Museum is completed by a sunset ideally at the Chitrakote Waterfall (Known as the Niagara) like horseshoe waterfall created by Bastar’s Indravati River. Visit some of the local Bison – Horn Maria tribe, renowned for their spectacular ceremonials dancing. You will be entertained by a performance of the tribal people, before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight. |
| Day 6 | JAGDALPUR – KANGAR VALLEY NATIONAL PARK – JAGDALPUR | An early breakfast, visit to the rich forests of the Kanger Valley National Park, the enchanting Tirathgarh waterfall and the extraordinary stalactite and stalagmite caves. Kanger retains the original intensity of the forests that once covered this whole region, and you will picnic in the natural habitat of leopard, tiger, sambhar, bison and the Bastar Hill Myna. Here too are forest tribal people in their natural habitat. En-route explore some of Jagdalpur’s unique handicrafts which comprise from wood craft to terracotta, tribal weaving to bhatti-chitra (traditional wall paintings) stone carving to Bell Metal Craft, Iron Craft and Bamboo Craft. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. |
| Day 7 | JAGDALPUR – RAIPUR | After a leisurely breakfast and visit the bustling markets of Jagdalpur. Later continue your drive to Raipur (300 kms). En-route take a diversion of 23 kms off the main road to Rajim – which is known as Varanasi of Chhatisgarh. Overnight at hotel. |
| Day 8 | RAIPUR DEPARTURE | Morning after breakfast transfer to airport / Railway station to connect flight / train for onward journey with sweet memories. |
